Sam's Cafe host a range of events from poetry readings, themed suppers and live music. We also host a regular supper club for locals to meet new friends, enjoy dinner & a glass of wine together.

Meetings are held every other month on a Monday evening from 7.00 to 8.30 pm

The School of Life was established in 2008 with the self-declared mission of the School to direct you toward "a variety of ideas guaranteed to stimulate, provoke, nourish and console.” Their thinking draws on psychology, psychotherapy, philosophy, art and culture.

Book titles include ‘The Meaning of Life’, ‘On Confidence’, ‘A History of Ideas’ and ‘On Being Nice’. You can find more about the School of Life here
